After conferring with ladydrace, I've implemented a customized layout for the community.

I disabled the view custom style option because for some reason, comment pages seem to be bunched up hugely otherwise. I'll have to look more into this to figure out what's going on.

Critiques/questions/kudos all welcome.

I like it! It's dark and angsty, like our pairing (well, sometimes, heh). I'm a fan of minimalism, too, so I like the clean, spare feeling of it.

And I love the image you chose at the top, as it's the archetypal "coming together" moment for them.

Awesome! I'm a minimalist too, and I tend towards that side of designing.

I thought it an appropriate image for them. :) Plus it's an easy edit.

I really like it in general -- I particularly like the header -- but for my eyesight I need more contrast between the background and the text. (For dark backgrounds in general, I tend to switch to my own style for the actual reading part!) :0)

Oh, my own journal is much brighter for that reason! I can't see light on dark very well.

Should I up the text color to a white, perhaps? Would that be easier?

Very nice! I particularly like the header. :) Only I agree with mrs260, please change the text to white on black for easier readability, and then it will be absolutely perfect.
